News Tip-off

Have a story, development or information the public should know about? Tell Scrollars.

At Scrollars.com, we believe our readers can be an important part of the news gathering process. If you have information about a breaking story, important event, public issue, community development or emerging trend, you can send it to our editorial team for consideration.

A news tip may include information about an event happening in your community, an important announcement, a developing story, a public concern, an unusual occurrence, a business development or information that could be of significant interest to our readers.

What You Can Send Us

You can send:

  • Breaking news tips
  • Photos and videos
  • Information about upcoming or ongoing events
  • Public interest stories
  • Community stories
  • Business and corporate developments
  • Entertainment and celebrity tips
  • Technology and social media trends
  • Investigative leads
  • Documents or other supporting materials
  • Corrections or additional information about stories we have published

The more useful information you provide, the easier it is for our editorial team to assess and verify your tip.

What Happens After You Send a Tip?

Every tip received by Scrollars is subject to editorial assessment.

A submission does not automatically become a published story. Our editorial team may contact you for additional information, seek independent confirmation, verify documents or speak with other relevant sources before deciding whether to publish.

We may also decide not to publish a submission if it cannot be sufficiently verified, does not meet our editorial standards or does not have sufficient news value.

Our editorial approach prioritises accuracy, verification and fairness rather than simply publishing information because it is trending.

Confidentiality

If your information is sensitive, please clearly indicate this when submitting your tip.

We understand that some people may have legitimate reasons for wanting to protect their identity. However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in every circumstance, particularly where disclosure may be required by applicable law.

Please do not send information that you are not legally authorised to share.

We also encourage tipsters to distinguish between what they personally witnessed and information they received from someone else.
